This GFLP seminar will focus on a series of topics related to green finance and capacity building.
The Global Green Finance Leadership Program (GFLP) is a global platform for sharing and exchanging best practices on green finance. Jointly launched by Tsinghua University and the IFC-supported SBN in May 2018,the program has successfully held 4 international seminars in Beijing (China), Casablanca (Morocco) and Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) respectively and 1 webinar, attracting more than 3000 participants from 59 countries and regions, most of whom are central bankers, financial regulators and financial service providers. Previous seminars have covered policy frameworks for sustainable finance, developing green finance in regional contexts (Africa, Central and Southeast Asia), and environmental information disclosure by financial institutions and green bond issuers.
This GFLP webinar will focus on a series of topics related to green finance and capacity building, including green recovery in the post-COVID era, green taxonomy and its role for green financial market, and biodiversity and sustainable farming, as well as green projects showcasing. This event is co-hosted by Tsinghua University, World Bank Group Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Finance Hub in Malaysia and UN Environment Financial Centers for Sustainability Network (FC4S), with support from UK BEIS.
